Art Journaling from Nature information

with Cedar Keshet

At the Fruita Community Center

Imagine this: you're sitting under the shade of a cottonwood, sketchbook open, watching the light dance across a sandstone ridge. You dip your brush in watercolor and try to capture the way it feels to be there. That's the heart of Art Journaling from Nature—a course designed for adults (ages 18 and up) that blends artistic technique with deep observation.

Instructor Cedar Keshet guides participants through approachable exercises using watercolor, pencil, and pen, helping you record what you see, hear, and feel while out in nature. Whether you're wandering a trail, spending time in the park, or sitting quietly in your backyard, this class helps turn those quiet moments into meaningful sketches.

We'll meet every Wednesdays from 9 a.m-12 p.m. at the Fruita Community Center

Two sessions available:

• Session 1: July 9, 16, 23 & 30

• Session 2: August 6, 13, 20 & 27
